Occupational Therapy Services

Occupational therapy sessions are individualized therapeutic interventions that target the skills your child is having difficulty with. The therapist can work on a wide range of skills such as gross motor, fine motor, visual motor, and daily living skills.

The first therapy session will be focused on building a rapport between the child and therapist. As sessions progress, the therapist will provide homework and recommendations for home and school.

The therapy sessions are fun for the child and skillfully managed by the therapist to ensure the “just right challenge,” where the activity is not too difficult so that the child no longer wants to play but hard enough to target the desired skills. The therapist works closely with the family, other providers and teachers to ensure maximal progress and carryover to everyday life.
